What’s new?
I’ve just entered a period of "writing songs before writing songs" if that makes any sense.
As of December 21st I’ve drifted over to my fender (tuned to B-G#-C#-F#-B-Eb) which I play through my bass amp with the sub-harmonics switched on. Now you must think what the heck does that sound like? Pretty good actually.
The tone produced has a warm bass heavy sound and the treble has a gentle even lightness. Flourishes have a humble way of standing out and the bass notes sound killer :D
What are my plans for this sound? Write some excellent indie pop anthems, dark jazzy pieces and early 70s country rock flavored songs.
I’ve been fussing around with so many different melodies in a somewhat ADD fashion but that’s a good thing, you’ll soon hear.
Well it seems I’ve wrapped up my Hiroshi Yairi (tuned to C#-G#-C#-F-Bb-Eb) period until I get better while exploring my alternate alternate tuning :)

Autumn oranges and reds decorate the trees in my region and yes, the rainy season has returned. Temperatures are brisk, pale blue skies are littered with thick streaks of clouds. If you’re planning on visiting the greater Seattle area, wear a warm coat and bring your umbrella.
Lastly... I plan to redesign my website for 2010. Adding more to my home-page, like a show calendar is definitely on my to-do list.

~~ Sweet memories will wash my mind whenever I think of this coffee house. The Mocha Moo in Lakewood, Washington was the first music venue I performed at. Over the years wonderful lasting friendships were made.
~~ Men and women who have mentored me along the way and considered me a performer despite my initial age and abilities, I send my thanks to you. I am grateful for the many words of wisdom, wit and kindness you contributed to my learning.
~~ Jay, from your first open mic, to your grandest stage events, to your lower key shows, I loved them all. I will always be happy knowing I shared my roughest musical sketches (winter 2005) and most polished musical ideas (summer 2009) at your venue.
~~ Sharing the final Women In Music show at your place with Jeanlizabeth and Julian Moon was an honor. Thanks to sound person Ron too.
